Kara’s Wish

Kara was picking flowers in the sunny meadow when she heard someone crying. She followed the sound to some wild rose bushes at the edge of the forest. A tiny someone nestled in the pale spring leaves. She wore a shimmery green dress. Dragonfly wings sprouted out of her back.

“Hello?” Kara said. “I’m Kara. Who are you? Why are you crying?”

“I am Ana, princess of the Inner Wood fairies” the fairy sniffled. “I’m crying because someone has taken my musical sugar bowl. It lights up and plays the most delightful songs. I miss it terribly,”

Kara was very surprised to find a real fairy. She’d always been told there was no such thing.
